Formula-based calculations

StudyCalc AI calculators use deterministic formulas for grades, GPA, attendance, late penalties, grade curves, due dates, and study time estimates.

The calculator pages show the main formula or reasoning pattern so students can compare the result with their own syllabus, grading scale, or school rule.

Rounding and input validation

Percentages and GPA values are rounded for readability, usually to a small number of decimal places. The exact classroom system may round differently.

Inputs are checked for common impossible values, such as negative credits, attendance counts above total classes, or weights that do not match the expected scale.

Browser-side and no-login design

Calculations run in the browser where possible. StudyCalc AI does not ask students to create an account or submit official school records.

Favorite and recent calculator links are stored locally in the visitor’s browser when that feature is used.

Planning estimates, not official records

StudyCalc AI results are educational planning estimates. They are not official transcript conversions, academic decisions, or guarantees of a final outcome.

Students should verify important results with their teacher, syllabus, academic office, or official school system.

Each tool uses deterministic formulas and browser-side checks. Use the table to compare the calculation model with your syllabus before treating a result as a planning estimate.

Scores, contributions, weight totals, and results are displayed to two decimals. Checks percentage, points, or letter-grade inputs and requires every entered weight to be positive; it warns when total weight is not 100. GPA Calculator GPA = Σ(grade point × credits) ÷ Σ(credits), using the selected letter, numeric, or custom scale. Overall GPA is displayed to two decimals; course grade points and quality points use up to three decimals. Requires positive credits and grade points within the selected scale; letter grades must exist in that scale. Transcript offices may use a different scale, repeated-course policy, or exclusion rule. Target GPA Calculator Required term GPA = (target GPA × (current credits + planned credits) - current GPA × current credits) ÷ planned credits. Required GPA and displayed inputs are rounded to two decimals; status compares the unrounded result with the scale. Checks current and target GPA against a positive scale, permits zero current credits, and requires positive planned credits. Attendance Calculator Current attendance = attended ÷ total × 100. Allowed future misses use floor(attended ÷ target ratio - total); recovery sessions use ceil((target ratio × total - attended) ÷ (1 - target ratio)). Attendance percentage uses two decimals; class allowances and recovery counts are whole sessions. Requires a positive whole total, a whole attended count from 0 to total, and a requirement from 1 to 100 percent. Schools may count tardies, excused absences, labs, or makeup sessions differently. Attendance Target Calculator Projected attendance = (attended + future attended) ÷ (total + remaining) × 100; allowed future absences are the whole sessions that keep the projection at or above the target. Percentages use two decimals; allowed absences and sessions needed use floor or ceiling to whole sessions. Checks whole total, attended, and remaining class counts plus a target from 1 to 100 percent. Course policies may treat absence types or minimum seat time differently. Can I Still Pass Calculator Needed remaining average = (target grade - secured course points) ÷ Σ(remaining weights) × 100; maximum grade adds each remaining weight × its entered score cap. Needed average, possible grades, weights, and contributions are displayed to two decimals. Checks secured points, completed weight, target, and at least one remaining item; completed plus remaining weights cannot exceed 100. Study Time Calculator Available hours = days remaining × hours per day. Needed hours = Σ(topic minimum: easy 1.5, medium 2.5, hard 4 hours). Suggested topic hours = available hours × that topic minimum ÷ total minimum hours. Status uses available ÷ needed: Good ≥ 1.25, Caution ≥ 1, Difficult ≥ 0.75, otherwise Impossible. Available, needed, gap, and daily target use two decimals; proportional topic allocations use up to three decimals. Checks today and exam date, positive daily hours, at least one topic, and easy, medium, or hard difficulty. Difficulty values are both minimum recommended hours and proportional allocation weights. Assignment Due Date Planner Available hours = eligible study days × daily capacity; suggested daily hours = estimated hours ÷ eligible study days. Milestones divide cumulative target hours into equal progress portions. Hour totals, gaps, daily workload, and milestone targets are displayed to two decimals; dates remain whole days. Checks start and due dates, positive estimated and daily hours, optional no-study dates, weekend choice, and 1 to 8 milestones. School Days Calculator Add mode advances until the requested eligible school-day count is reached. Count mode counts dates in the selected interval after weekend and custom-date exclusions. No fractional rounding is used; dates and counted days are whole values. Checks valid start/end dates, a nonnegative whole day count, optional excluded dates, weekend choice, and end-date inclusion in count mode. Assignment Late Penalty Calculator Fixed deduction = late days × penalty percentage points per day; final score = max(original score - fixed deduction, minimum score). This is not proportional to the earned score. Penalty, final score, score loss, and optional weighted course impact are displayed to two decimals. Checks a 0-100 score, whole nonnegative late days, 0-100 percentage-point penalty and floor, and optional 0-100 assignment weight. Teachers may cap penalties, waive days, or apply policy manually. Grade Curve Calculator Add-points mode = clamp(original score + points, 0, 100). Top-score mode = clamp(original score ÷ original top score × new top score, 0, 100). Curved score and points gained are displayed to two decimals after the fixed 0-100 clamp. Checks original score, nonnegative added points, original top score above 0 and at most 100, and new top score from 0 to 100.
